Don't believe what you see in pictures

I was so disappointed in this place. Let me give you a run down:1. filthy backyard that we were not able to use at all2. Wifi didn't work 3. Mosquitoes (doors and windows locked and more would appear I'm talking like 20-30 not exaggerating)I called to get the Wifi working or have someone clean the backyard while we were away and nothing. They offered 60 bucks to keep quiet about the rental property and to not write a review. We as guest are used to having maybe a welcome coffee pouch or tea bags... don't expect anything here. We boiled water in a old soup pot and brought our own instant coffee. I really hate to write poor reviews but given the situation this was necessary.

Der Aufenthalt war im Großen und Ganzen gut. Leider fehlt es an Tassen und Gläsern - da das Haus für 10 Personen angeboten wird, sollte es auch entsprechendes Geschirr geben. In jedem Schrank gibt es leider nur 3 Bügel, was viel zu wenig ist.Die Teppiche waren nicht gesaugt, sonst war das Haus innen sauber.Die Terrassenmöbel und der Grill waren sehr schmutzig und so nicht zu nutzen. Auf unsere Nachfrage bei der Hausverwaltung hieß es, dafür sei der Eigentümer zuständig .

The property was great. The house feels much bigger than it actually is. Very open and roomy. The kids can play in the back yard or walk down to the creek (seasonal, no water while we were there). The only complaint was that the cleaning crew did not do a great job prior to our arrival. Also, the trash bin was full when we got there and we had nowhere to put our trash bags upon departure. Communication with the manager was good and we had no issues while there!

Hurricane

My husband and I live in Palacios and we decided to leave due to the hurricane, We had my granddaughter, Mom and my nieces kids. I contacted the host to see if she could accommodate us Sunday also, she let me know she could. The house was beautiful and in a quiet neighborhood. The kids loved seeing the deer out the back door in the morning and at night. I wish we were there under different circumstances, but it was a beautiful place to keep us all safe. We will definitely be back. Thank you again.

Overall good

The home was clean and in a very quiet area. The only complaint I would have is that we didn’t have enough towels for all members. There was no bedding for the sofa bed. The coffee pot takes almost an hour to brew a pot so if you are a coffee lover bring your own. Not the owners fault but be prepared for a lot of mosquitos!

Nice place

Overall the property was nice and for the most part clean. Upon arrival the house was missing a smoke detector and another one was hanging by the wires. And the amount of mosquitoes in the house could have been way less. The master bed was pretty hard however I understand everyones preferences are different.

Good Stay

Property was nice. Just wish they provided you toilet paper based on number of nights booked. They do mention they will get you started. They provided one roll. Bring extra toilet paper and trash bags, if you stay longer than 2 nights.

Enjoyed the lemon drop scheme

Nice home, comfortable beds. Decent location. We wanted to walk down to the creek, but the path is very overgrown. We went out and bought our own coffee pot. The one provided was very slow and kept cutting off. Also, 3 of the bunk beds did not have top sheets. More towels in the main bath would be nice. Other than those considerations, we were happy with the house.

Nice Getaway

The house was clean and spacious. The porch and yard were wonderful. We enjoyed the fire pit and were pleasantly surprised to find wood to use. We had a great time and would book this property again.

Very cozy!

I have been to Canyon Lake on many occasions but this was my first time getting a place to stay in. The home was very nice in a peaceful setting. Whether I was relaxing at home or venturing out on a hike this place was in a great location!

Great Location.

House was about a mile from grocery store and lake (beach and marina). If you want to avoid the sun, it is centrally located and short proximity to several hill country activities. The inside of the house was clean and comfortable. Housekeeping should pay more attention to the outside areas (front entry and back patio). The home owner should seriously think about investing in a privacy fence on the north side of the property. This would give privacy to both renters and the people living in the property next door. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this vacation home which comfortably accommodated our family.

Could be a cute place but lots of little things wrong or missing.

Arrived after dark and no lights anywhere. Address on a blue sign in the middle of the yard. Very hard to find in the dark. Loud renters next door for back bedrooms and loud street noise for front bedroom. No kitchen towels, no oven mitts, no baking dishes, no bath mat. Towel hanging on oven had burn hole. The smoke detector started going off at 3 am, called emergency number and they said to call back during office hours. We didn’t sleep the rest of the night. Had to climb on top of a chair to to it myself. They wouldn’t give us the night free nor even a discount. They said because we stayed the last night. Well duh!, We were there on vacation for Market Days, why would we leave early? The master bedroom door handle fell off. This house looks fairly new for having all these issues. It’s a cute house with deer in the yard and a creek. Furnishings are nice, location is good. Just not managed very well. So I can’t recommend this house.

Perfect short get away!!

This house was simply stunning! It was extremely clean and provided us with everything we needed!! Literally 5 minutes away from the marina, Canyon Lake is our new favorite place! Wish we could have stayed a little longer! We will definitely be back to this house again! This is a must rent if you are looking for affordable luxury!
