We loved our stay at Motel One. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though a bit small. The staff was outstandingly friendly and helpful. The location was great being in the El Born neighbourhood. We could easily walk to many great restaurants and cafes. I would happily stay at Motel One again the next time I'm in Barcelona.

I enjoyed the location of this hotel. The security was great. you need a key card to get in after a certain time. The breakfast was easy quick and affordable for what they offer. the lobby bar was also a nice community space to meet for drinks or do work. Overall good experience the only negative is that the rooms are very small with an even smaller bathroom and the air conditioning did not work that well.

The air conditioning wasn’t working once we checked in and they sent someone up within 5 minutes it was great service and fixed quickly! Perfect location . Easily walkable to the beach park and el born!

We found the location convenient, and we liked that the neighborhood was quiet. We didn’t like that the rooms did not come with water nor coffee. There was no phone to ask for room service (such as an iron). The WiFi did not work in our room which was on the sixth floor. The room was really small despite it being a corner room with view of the park. The breakfast was 16 euros and very basic. Overall, it was too expensive for what it offers.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have a good experience in Barcelona. I was traveling with my two dogs and the regulations in Barcelona limited what I could do. The heat was also too much for me. I’m prone to heat sickness. However, I can’t compliment MotelOne enough. The staff were so nice. Faced with a guest who didn’t like where they lived must have been difficult and rude. They never showed it. The park across the street is their best asset. The park is amazing. There is the Catalonian parliament. There is an amazing monument with a golden chariot on a white marble bottom. From my room I could see the park and the sea. Waking up and seeing a golden chariot was an incredible experience. The park has a zoo and a pond with row boats. While the room was small, like every other room in Europe it had a really good floor plan. I spent the money for the morning breakfast buffet. It was money well spent. They had a large variety of food and very fresh. The staff members were very patient and very helpful. They went above and beyond to help me. I’m truly grateful. If I have any complaint at all it would be to add an English speaking entertainment channel. The only English channels were for the news. I did really brush up on my Spanish and enjoyed watching the Olympics in Spanish, French, German and a bit on the BBC.

Everything was amazing about this hotel, except for two small things. 1- the room doors slam very loudly in the morning, which makes it hard to sleep in. It's not a user issue, as it seems like something everyone does. 2-the soap and shampoo type and dispenser are terrible. 3-would have loved a mini fridge. Other than that, it was an awesome experience, and will definitely stay there again.

Loved the overall design of the lobby, bar, and courtyard. Room was small but all we needed with a comfortable bed, only complaint was that the showers layout was odd and much water escaped but nothing a towel couldn’t fix. Staff was friendly and bar was affordable and convenient.

We loved staying here! The staff are so nice, the rooftop deck is cool, the hotel is nicely furnished and the location is perfect for those that like to walk to everything. The rooms are on the small side, but that is all you need since you have the great city of Barcelona to explore. Thank you for a great stay!

Liked: Modern hotel, quiet room, roof top terrace, convenient location and safe surroundings. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. On morning of July 15, 2024, the lady checked us in and stored our luggage and the gentleman, her colleague gave me very good information about highlights of Barcelona and to be aware of pickpockets. On morning of July 17, at check out this same gentleman offered to store our luggage on his own initiative. Service was very good. Adequate: The breakfast adequate and we ate there in the morning of departure to airport, otherwise, recommend other restaurant options in the area for breakfast or brunch. Would stay again and recommend
