This is our first trip to Mexico when the service was a big disappointment.. Nice hotel, nice beach, good food. The worse was bar at the beach (and yes, we were tipping), slow and water down drink. I'm not a big drinker but when you order an aperol and they are skipping the prosecco (just aperol and sparkling water) it's very water down. Service during the breakfast and lunch doesn't really exist, you have to ask for water and coffee. Forget about refills. It's slightly better during the dinner. We celebrated my daughter 30th birthday. They said they would put banner and deliver the birthday cake to her room. I didn't happen until I went to the guests service at 5:45pm. You don't get any information upon arrival...just scan QR code. You have to scan it even if you file a complain. My husban got bitten by the bedbugs and we killed a big cockrouch. We were told they are coming from outside. I really hope this is not a new standard in Mexico. We won't be coming back to this property for sure.

First and foremost, I want to state that the overall stay was nice. I'm a bit of a germaphobe, but was not bothered by any of the facilities, so that's great. We do hope to return, though will probably bring our own toilet paper :) Pros: The staff were friendly, the facilities are reasonably new/clean, food was tasty, beach is kept relatively clean, sales pitches were short and friendly (low pressure), young kid facilities are reasonable, availability of bottled water is good Cons: The toilets, a funny thing to nag about, but it's surprisingly relevant. The toilet is very very shallow - Use your imagination to figure what that results in. The toilets are also wall-mounted. Our in-room toilet was falling off the wall, so it wouldn't support any weight. The solution was to put a few pieces of wood under it. It still wobbled, but at least we could use it. The toilet paper provided is your standard-faire commercial 1 ply, but it can also double as 200-grit sandpaper if needed. Specialty restaurant reservations were a mess. Staff cannot help you book any spots, unless you're willing to pay additional for an expensive bottle of wine or lobster meal. During a 1 week stay, we were only able to snag a very late timeslot for one of the less popular themed restaurants ONCE. The no-reservation buffet is nice, don't get me wrong, but the food does tend to get a bit repetitive, presumably in favour of reducing food waste.

Overall, we were very pleased. Service was very good. Hugo, our beach server, was fabulous! Very disappointed in dinner reservation availability! We were only there for 4 nights and were only able to get reservations for 1 of the 3 restaurants we really wanted to try. When I inquired at the front desk, I was told the hotel "is full" and there is nothing they can do. Food overall was pretty good for an all-inclusive. Since we couldn't get into the restaurants we wanted, we "settled" for Players Sports Bar and it was GREAT! Bar food with a Mexican twist & great cocktails...YUM! I would suggest making reservations the second you check in. Beach was beautiful and the pool was amazing. We would definitely go back.

I will give the pros and cons: Pros: quick room service, very safe, family friendly, nice nightlife events, amazing beach, nice pools. Cons: it feels nothing like a 5 star hotel. Towel service wasn’t always available, food was extremely poor (we had to go outside for some food that tastes good even though we’re at an ALL INCLUSIVE), room service food was horrible, you had to make reservations to their restaurants up to 5 days in advance (we couldn’t book at all since we stayed for 4.5 days), to be considered a 5 star hotel and expecting tourists from different countries, EVERY WORKER there was SLIGHTLY ABOVE AVERAGE at BEST in English. Luckily for me I speak Spanish, so it wasn’t the worst, but I seen people struggle with receptionist to understand each other through the lack of English knowledge. And lastly, their Mexican food was way too Americanized. I’ve tried Mexican food from USA that tasted more Mexican than this hotel. Also location is brutal. I can’t explain how horrible the drive to it was. The potholes and the huge speed bumps made me feel glad I got full coverage insurance on my rental car. Overall: if you want an affordable place that calls itself a 5 star hotel and you speak Spanish and do not care about food selection, go here. I will say, this place is WAY safer than the hotel strip. I will give this hotel that. Americans who do not season your chicken and care about safety would love this place. Wouldn’t stay here again.

There are always pros and cons in with anything and here is my list: Pros: Very clean Absolutely loved the swim up pool (had the privileged romance suite) The spa was very relaxing and we loved the pool and service provided Service in the privileged dining area for guests at the buffet was phenomenal The theater production was so much fun! The Lobby bar was our favorite Cons: The food was less than desirable It was hard to book reservations for restaurants due to them filling up very fast They had representatives scattered throughout the property try to get you to attend a private breakfast and then you’ll receive a perk or 2 after a presentation. Seeing that we were called about a welcome bag and heading to the lobby, then presented with these options I felt it to be very tacky. Especially when we were spending over $500 a night The drinks were weak - but it did help if you tipped the right bartenders Could not access bathrooms easily when eating in the buffet due to door being locked - had to walk outside and around to main lobby At the end of the day we probably won’t be back to this location. But it was very peaceful and service was very good…as long as they knew that you were part of the privileged system and being in the type of room we were in helped as a few employees were not attentive until they realized what room we were in. By far this is not a 5 star resort and I would rate it 3.5.

This is not a five star nor four star resort. What a disappointment Expedia. It could be a 4 star resort if it was better cared for. The place needs a paint job, landscaping, and a modernized look. It’s so run down and its appearance is a real vacation buzz kill. The room was spacious but musty smelling. The swim up room, swam up to nothing and was too cold to use. We were on the quiet pool side which was low key. The other pool, the margarita pool, was the place where most of the daily entertainment occurred. Activities were hit or miss and not entirely at the fault of the staff. They tried to get people involved but most wanted to just watch and not participate. We only made it to one night time show, the Michael Jackson show, which was eh. We spent most nights sitting outside listening to the DJ hearing our son complain about the spotty WiFi. The spa was also disappointing. Nothing fancy. Best part was the hydrotherapy before the massage. Neither of the masseuses my husband and I had were good, likely neither were trained massage therapist. We were both more uncomfortable after the massages, so save you’re money. Food was better than the average all inclusive. Best meal was at the Grill but we didn’t get to try the Japanese restaurant or make it to Bloved. Restaurant reservations are difficult. They are done through a website and only available 3 days at a time. If you don’t book at midnight 3 days prior you’ll be closed out of everything. We won’t be returning.
