Lovely stay at The Brunstwick hotel. Very clean. Shower was very good and the bed was comfy. Plenty of room and very quiet. About 20-25 minute walk to the castle and the centre of Edinburgh. Loads of nice independent restaurant chains nearby with a wide range of food. Ideal location and hotel to explore the heart of Edinburgh

Hotel was okay and fairly clean. Nice area near groceries, coffee shops and restaurants. However, the interior looked worn for wear, the security was lax, the pillows were thick and hard, the walls were thin, can hear your neighbors easily, the staff were courteous but they weren’t energetic to greet you, remember it’s a hospitality business, price was expensive for the hotel, it’s Best Western.

Relatively close to historic Edinburgh and attractions, and directly across a street from great parks are the highlights for The Bruntsfield. Otherwise, it's a nice historic hotel with average front desk staff.

Bruntsfield Hotel in Edinburgh...What can I say ?…I couldn’t fault the place, clean, quiet and flipping good breakfast to match. Our “superior” room with its bathroom was huge and spotless. The bed was massive. One downside of our room was that it could’ve done with a bit more clothes storage but...hey ho, it doesn’t hurt to fold up some of your clothes on a seat as long as the wife can hang hers up !!! The staff were brilliant...from the front desk to the breakfast room and bar, nothing was too much trouble for them. The bar and restaurant prices were reasonable too. The hotel is opposite a big green space with lots of local “artisan shops and cafes”. If you’re a plain eater you might find the local restaurants “faddy”...it’s Thai, Indian street food and stuff like that. Depending on your fitness, it’s a strenuous walk into the centre...but the hotel has a cab calling feature, they press a button and hey presto, in 10 mins a cab appears. The cab fares are very reasonable and every cabbie we had was friendliness personified. The Bruntsfield is a superb hotel for your Edinburgh City break. I have no hesitation, due to my own experience, in recommending this place....Well done The Bruntsfield...you made our visit better.

Traveling with my father has physical mobility and visual impairment is a challenge. The staff worked hard to support me in planning the correct bedroom & showering facilities going out of their way to ensure close proximity to the lifts and arranging for my room to be close by and arranging the taxi for us.. The staff we encountered were all kind, considerate and respectful towards my 83yr old father and his challenges ensuring all went smoothly. He described our weekend away as the best weekend of his entire life. I can’t thank you all enough for helping me make this trip to Scotland & the Tattoo possible. 💗
