We have a private room with shared bathroom. The bedroom and bathroom is quite clean. I don’t like it does not have coffee pot. The quality of staff varies, some are very friendly.

Room looked charming but lacked some conveniences like adequate outlets to plug in a cell phone. Lighting and bed were not great. We could hear the folks in the next room, walls were very thin.

Cute place, pretty surroundings, 2 good restaurants - one for breakfast & lunch, the other for dinner, both are good and employees are very nice, but they are a little pricey but not unexpected for the area. Guy at check in was not very friendly, just asked for card, got a phone call & finally told that person to hold long enough to say there was a book in the room for the wi fi & other info & told us about the 2 dining places, then told the guy on the phone he was sorry and continued his call. At check out he said good morning, and thank you without even looking at me and that was it! We had a room that could be used for ajoining rooms (we weren't using for that), it was very noisy, even though the door was shut between the rooms, it was like it wasn't there, we could hear everything, luckily our neighbors were quiet overnight (very loud in the evenings) & we were gone most of the day, plus we only stayed 2 nights. Shower head comes down - plus, but points out toward the shower curtain so you have to turn it toward the wall or water goes all over the floor. Bed was ok, pillows not very comfy. Would not personally stay here again, for the price I expected at least friendly.

Very cute property that was well maintained and clean. All employees we encountered were friendly and helpful. We had dinner at the Whetstone and it was lacking for the cost as well as the quality of food.

We loved staying here! The lodge and resort are rustic and beautiful. We stayed in a hostel room, which was a new experience for my husband. It was cozy and comfortable with an amazing view out the front window. We had breakfast and dinner at the property restaurants and found the staff friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent! The atmosphere incredible! Locals seem to congregate for meals here, so intetesting to hear their stories of ranching. It is definitely on our list to come back and stay longer!

Happy with my stay here. Only complain I have is the walls are thin and I can hear people slamming their doors. Other than that I enjoy it and I’d prob stay again if I’m in the area! It was peaceful and the food options were good. Close to grand Teton entrance 8 miles away. The bed was comfy, clean, and perfect for a nice stay

Very nice property & clean. The only issue was there was no mini fridge, microwave or air conditioning. There was a box fan which helped. Would’ve been nice to have at least the mini fridge. We enjoyed our stay & the staff was very friendly & helpful!

The Hatchet Resort has a lot of charm. Our bed and bedding very comfy. Everything was nice & clean. The hotel desk people were not very friendly or helpful and the dinner waitress a bit snarky. The dinner was just ok and portions too small for expense. I suggest coffee, etc. provided for dormitory guests at the hotel guest desk OR given for free at the cafe. Also designated parking for dormitory guests and bath mats accessible IN the shared bath.

I read the reviews before booking this hotel. Turns out all the negative comments were true: noisy room, no microwave, no fridge, overpriced rooms, limited staff support, limited restaurant service. The only benefit of this motel is that is cheaper than Grand Teton resorts. We asked the staff if they could share a microwave and they don’t offer any support. For travellers, it’s disappointing. The service of the restaurant was slow so we avoided it. As others said: you could find rooms available at lower price and early book, and even if Expedia show sold out the model was half empty. I would say: it’s fine but go there only if you run out of option. If only there was a fridge and available microwave for customers who don’t want their restaurant… I mean this place is in the middle of nowhere.
