Good location but that’s about it
Hotel has probably seen better days, constant construction noise and it is very rough around the edges. Rooms are cramped and the washrooms have very limited amenities available. Staff are all great and helpful when needed but would not recommend this hotel. Location is decent as it’s across the street from Hyde park and walking distance to tube and bus stations as well as multiple restaurants and cafes.

Do not stay, rude staff and impossible refunds.
I was unable to make the trip as my grandfather was extremely ill. I asked for a refund and was met with an unhelpful and frankly rude response. I made a formal compliant which didn’t get taken forward, and I was accused of being ‘sarcastic’. I contacted expedia to try and get a refund that way, I contacted paypal, and even my bank and I was refused a refund even though I paid extra for travel insurance. If you want a smooth seamless trip and have a piece of mind do not book this hotel.

The hotel is really well situated with two train lines and lots to do in the area. Hotel was pretty run down and the staff had no vibe whatsoever. There is very loud construction happening which we were not aware of at the time of booking and the staff are very loud at all hours cleaning in the hallways. The rooms have no soundproofing so you can hear the rooms next door and have to talk quietly.

I WAS GIVEN A ROOM TWO FLOORS UNDERGROUND WITHOUT A WINDOW NO MENTION OF THIS AT THE TIME OF BOOKING. THE ROOM WAS SO HOT BECAUSE THE AIR CON WAS NOT WORKING THERE ANSWER WAS TO PUT FOUR FANS IN THE ROOM MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO SLEEP. A WALL LIGHT WAS ON RESEMBLING A WINDOW COULD NOT TURN IT OFF. EVEN THOUGH THERE WERE FOUR PEOPLE ON THE RECEPTION AT 10.30PM THEY WOULD NOT ANSWER THE PHONE MEANING I HAD TO GET OUT OF BED AND GO AND SEE THEM I WASS TOLD THEY WERE TOO BUSY. THE LIGHT WAS FINALLY SWITCHED OF BY A BROKEN BIT OF PLASTIC STICKING OUT OF THE WALL. I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN.

The park close by was the highlight but the housekwwping was slow (room not avaliable at check in) and kept taking our spare room key (therefore having to chasw it up each time). VERY small rooma and thwy were hot and atuffy.

Weekend break
We were informed about building work and therefore requested a renovated room, wasn't guaranteed but we were allocated one in arrival. Very nice room with double bed, hidden air con and nice bathroom. Unfortunately the air con malfunctioned overnight and the tv wouldn't work. Messaged the hotel as no telephone in the room to inform the reception and this was fixed by the next day. Excellent location for Hyde park and Bayswater high street. Underground strain was about 5 minute walk away to get into central London.

This was a great location and the staff was wonderful in making our stay feel comfortable. However, once we got there we learned that it was in the middle of a renovation project. The construction noise started early around 8am and lasted all day.

Overall good stay
It's a nice stay for travelling, efficient check in and out, has all the essentials, but the room is a little run down and pack in space. Ventilation doesn't seem to be working in my room. No sockets around bed space, only socket by the table which is the other side of the room. Quiet at night, but feels like the walls are quite thin. Overall still a decent stay for the price

We stayed for 2 nights. Unfortunately, they put us on the 6th floor which was the only floor under construction! Why would you put guests on floor under going construction? It was hard to nap during the day due to the noise. We asked to be moved but room they offered us was smaller than the small room we were already in. The rooms at this hotel are very small.

Adequate hotel in amazing area
It is an older hotel undergoing renovations. We had an older room so I can’t really give a proper review. Our room was adequate for our needs. A little small and thin walls between the rooms, the window let in noise and did not seal all the way. However, it was cheap for a really good area of London. Close to the park, restaurants, underground. Safe area. Perfect for our visit. I would stay again
