The security team is unprofessional and disrespectful, we had two incidents in the course of a weekend. 1.Male Security staff goes into a girls dressing room (during a dance competition) where the are hundreds of girls changing in between costumes to “check stair cases by emergency doors” when approached by mothers and being informed that he was in a girls dressing room and needed to leave he refused and said he’s job was very important and proceeded to walk throughout the dressing room where there were at-least 100 girls half dressed. Situation escalated to supervisor and it ended there. 2. Witnessed a teenage girl leaving her room when a Male security guard who was on our floor “responding to a complaint” sees her coming out, rushes towards her, she gets nervous goes back into the room but the door won’t close because the privacy door lash was open and she’s too nervous to realize as he is BANGING on her door, she pinned her body against the door to try and stop him from Opening it, she tells him she is “calling her mom” and instead of him backing off until mom arrives he continues on and tells her that her door is not even locked that if she moves and open the door he can fix it for her she knows better and doesn’t move, when mom and security supervisor gets there he tries to say he didn’t bang on the door when he absolutely did. The teen girls was so traumatized and scared she had to leave the hotel with her mom.

You can’t beat this hotel’s location. Easily walkable to Times Square and the Museum of Modern Art, and I walked to the Metropolitan Museum, the Morgan Library and the Columbus Circle area with no problems. Dining options are great, although pricey (it is New York, after all). The room was average: good size, but condition only fair. The headboard was made of vinyl, which was disintegrating and flaking off. Stained towels and mold in the shower, but general cleanliness was adequate. Staff was great.
