Opuntia Trulli e Lamie is a fairy tale place nestled in the picturesque Apulian countryside, a short distance from the white houses overlooking the sea of Polignano a Mare. The property has regained its beauty after a thorough restoration process, preserving intact its authentic historical charm. It is framed by a park with lawns and lush vegetation of citrus and olive trees, interspersed with typical dry stone walls and embellished by a splendid salt swimming pool. The abode, completely paved with natural stone, offers every comfort to ensure maximum well-being for our guests. The five air-conditioned suites, elegant in their furnishings and sober colours, each with independent entrance and private bathroom, ensure comfort and privacy. The spacious, fully-equipped kitchen/living room is the ideal place for pleasant family gatherings or fun holidays with friends. The large outdoor area preserves all the essence of this experience steeped in Apulian traditions, offering moments of absolute relaxation, kissed by the sun or soaking in the light, salty water of the splendid swimming pool. In the evening, everything calms down and is transformed, just like the small orange grove that lights up with pretty lights, together with the evocative lights of the pool, creating a wonderful relaxing atmosphere.
Interior:
Opuntia Trulli e Lamie is composed of a main body and an annex a short distance away, both on just one floor. The main body includes the common areas and four units (suites) not connected internally but each with its own independent entrance, all located at the front. The central structure, accessed from the main entrance, consists of a large living area with sitting room with sofas and TV, dining area and kitchen with large peninsula; the area has three French windows with direct access to the patio. Adjacent to the kitchen is the handicapped-accessible guest bathroom with toilet and basin. At the back and with access from outside is an additional guest bathroom with the laundry. SUITE 1. Accessed via three steps, it consists of a double bedroom with divisible bed and a bathroom with a large separate shower and chromotherapy. Suite 1 is connected to the Suite 2 by an internal soundproof door. SUITE 2. Composed of a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower, it has a French window that opens onto a small courtyard. SUITE 3. Consisting of a double bedroom with divisible bed and a bathroom with shower and tub. SUITE 4. Composed of a double bedroom with adivisible bed and a bathroom with shower. Suites 3 and 4 communicate with each other through an internal soundproof door. All the bedrooms contain a mini-fridge, safe and an outdoor patio with sitting area. ANNEX. Composed of SUITE 5 with a double bed (divisible), bathroom with shower and a charming outdoor area for exclusive use.
Park:
The house is surrounded by a vast lawn and framed by typical Mediterranean scrub interrupted by typical olive trees, a fragrant citrus grove and herbs that adorn the white tuff of the structures. The orange grove, hidden behind the structure, lights up at night creating a wonderful atmosphere. The outdoor area in front of the kitchen-living room graces the patio equipped with table football and a gazebo with dining area. All the suites have an outdoor area for exclusive use shaded by climbing plants. The area in front of the swimming pool consists of a large spontaneous lawn of about 4000 sq m equipped with a relaxation area shaded by sails, the ideal place for children to play in safety thanks to the fence (metal mesh on a 2 m-high drywall) that surrounds the entire property. An automatic entrance gate leads to the large parking area.Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
The spectacular swimming pool is surrounded by dry stone walls and framed by the lush garden. Rectangular and measuring 5.10 x 12 m, with the depth varying from 1.10 to 1.40 m, the pool is lined in Kerlite and has salt purification and rectangular steps for access to the water. This is the guests' favourite spot, a haven of relaxation that offers a magnificent view of the lush garden, full of fruit trees and olive groves. The spacious pool area is equipped with all comforts: a cosy solarium paved in natural stone and equipped with sunbeds, two outdoor hot-water showers, a barbecue with sink and work area, a large gazebo with a table seating 20 people, complete with stone benches and seats, and an external bathroom. The pool is open from the last Saturday in April to the first Saturday in October.

very nice property.
Great property, a bit unusual in the bedroom set up, two sets of two connected rooms ideal for parents and children, not so much for idependant adult couples, and a fifth stand alone bedroom. Access via a narrow laneway might be challenging for some, but very private.
