What you would expect for the price.
A little tired but mostly clean and tidy with very friendly and helpful staff. Quite uncomfortable mattresses and the kitchen is not very well equipped. Very well situated however is halfway up a hill so may not be good for those with mobility issues. What you would expect for the price

Noise
Too much noise, if people do some noise in the corridor or in the room you can hear them
Lovely staff, great place. Good location. Highly recommended for a family holiday.

I thought it was a great deal for the price.
It was well located, I loved the balcony with the drying rack.
The kitchen with the, coffee maker and the basics was a nice surprise.
I also like the fact they chabge the sheets every otvwr day. I did not mind that. As a matter of fact, I think more hotels should do that. Next time I am in toown, I will go to Pez Azul!

dissapointed
Ground floor appt where people on pavement could access the balcony made me feel uneasy. People could see straight into room. Very noisy all around.

I stayed at Pez Azul with my wife. We had a very enjoyable week here.
This is not a 5 star hotel, it's modest, comfortable and friendly. We liked this and will be back again.
The walk into the main part of the town - and to the sea front - is only about 15 minutes at a very slow pace. But be warned, all routes back are up hill or stairs, find for us, but I could see it being an issue if anyone has any difficulty with strenuous walking in the heat.
We also spent time in the balcony - mainly later in the evening - to relax & have coffee, beer or wine. Our view was on the side away from the pool. You can't quite see the sea, but you are looking out over one of the pathways taken by the lava from the volcano in 1706.

Ok for a short stay
Friendly staff nice and clean but in need of refurbishment. We were only there 2 nights so it was fine. Not suitable for people who can't walk far too hilly. Easy access to bus stops to and from Las Americas
Arrived at hotel to be ignored by reception staff. Room very clean but outdated by about 3 decades. NO air conditioning in rooms as mentioned in advert. There was a/c in dining room, but never on. No kettle for boiling water (there was a coffee filter machine). Most towels were either threadbare or had holes in them.
We had a pleasant stay at Pez Azul (blue fish), with friendly and helpful staff throughout. The room service was daily apart from Sunday and all kept nice and clean. The pool area was well stocked with loungers and the pool itself is a good size and refreshingly cool, without being cold. Our room had a filter coffee maker and no kettle, which we were happy with but others may prefer to be able to make tea with a kettle. We only ate in the restaurant (self-service buffet) once and, although cheap at EUR9 each, we wouldn't recommend it. However the waiters were efficient in supplying drinks and clearing the table. A bit of a stroll down to the main square but close to several interesting spots, including the orchid gardens at Sitio Litre almost opposite. The bar El Camino nearby is great for tapas, giving a selection of eight dishes for sharing between two people for only EUR21.50 and a decent bottle of wine for under EUR6!

Nice apartments in quiet location
This was a last minute booking and we got what I think must have been the last available room as it was 001 on ground floor right next to the restaurant, so early morning wake up with the clattering of plates, but that's ok as you can relax on one of the many sun beds by the pool, we never had an issue with getting one. Its a 5-10 min walk to the supermarket with many steps so a good workout for your leg muscles, the kitchen facilities were basic but adequate, working fridge and clean crockery and utensils, there is a microwave and coffee maker but you need filters and coffee etc, hob but no oven no toaster, plenty of places to eat within a 20 min walk. The only that could have made it better would be to have some music by the pool even just background music.
A great hotel for the cheap price paid. Very clean hotel/room and very friendly hotel staff, don't expect the hilton but you will be pleased with what you receive. A great town to stay in aswell
The rooms have everything you could need (at a basic level) and the hotel is a great base from which to explore Tenerife. The staff are really friendly and helpful, the pool is always kept clean and I would highly recommend it.
Nice and quite place with comfortable rooms in quality beds, with very basic kitchen equipment, but enough to prepare meals. Clean and very good maintain rooms and bathrooms. Swimming pool to take a rest and for children. Elevator. About 15 min down to town past shops, streets, bars and bay. Fantastic view to Teide. Green region. Very pleasant staff. More than we expected at all for this price.

Refused to acknowledge hotels.com booking
Hotel claimed to have no knowledge of my reservation. Gave them my hotels.com reservation number. They wouldn't accept it. Went and got a print-out of the hotels.com reservation. Still no. Had to pay again. Hotels.com isn't much use if this sort of thing happens.
There was no kettle in the room. Needed to boil water in a saucepan. There was a coffee maker. No toaster. Would have thought that a tea towel, washing up liquid would have been provided. Would not recommend a room on the lower floor, as no view and our balcony didn't get any sun at all. The sheets were grey looking. Couldn't say about the food as we didn't think it looked very appealing so we ate out every night. Lots of good restaurants in the area.
Have stayed here for a while now and the staff have been brilliant. Housekeeping, reception and the restaurant staff are all very friendly and very helpful.
For the price this hotel is excellent value.
Rooms very clean , fairly well equipped.Very tiny balcony on 4th floor.
The only drawback was nowhere comfortable to sit.
Easy walk into town.
Puerto de la Cruz is a lovely resort. Plenty to do but not too hectic. The hotel is excellent - basic but clean, well-equipped and friendly. Would especially recommend nearby Loro Parquet.

It is a really great an affordable option if thinking of staying in Tenerife. For the price paid I really have to admit that this a really excellent deal. Excellent location, great swimming pool.
