Godzilla Hotel
Godzilla is atop this hotel and everyone knows about it. They had godzilla displays and it was just a unique and fun experience. We didn't have a Godzilla room but fun anyway.

In the heart of Shinjuku. Lots of shops and restaurants around the location. While there is a lot to see, I did have a lot, and I mean A LOT, of people approach me about massages, going to shows and clubs. After a while it becomes really annoying. That being said, they do not come into the hotel and the hotel itself is very clean and staff and friendly.

I love the concept of the hotel, all based around Godzilla. They even have a massively overpriced coffee and cake that are Godzilla themed, wish we were able to watch the movies in your room but you cannot. And all that doesn’t change the fact that when we first checked in and entered the room, it wasn’t fully clean, there was so much dust everywhere and hair from the last guests in the bathroom. The staff was quite helpful and friendly and gave us a lot of complimentary items. Location wise, it is also pretty good, less than 10 minutes from the station, lots of food and shopping areas around.

Godzilla head was off limits even for photos. That was the main reason for booking this facility. No notice was given that this feature was not accessible. Street people at the side entrance made dirty and unsightly mess. Vomit and people sitting on the ground.

A basic comfortable hotel with a Godzilla theme. You can’t go onto the Godzilla platform anymore. There is no gym or onsen. The breakfast was poor quality compared to most other Japanese hotels I have stayed. Lobby is on 8th floor.

Great Location/Beds can be better
Hotel is surrounded by a ton of restaurants. It is not close enough to walk (personally) from the Shinjuku station. We had to get a taxi from and to each time. Morning breakfast was awesome! Only downside from our stay was the stiffness of the beds and very uncomfortable pillows. Maybe it's a Japanese pillow preference but some of them were hard and felt like hard pieces of corn inside. I am 22 week pregnant and unfortunately did not sleep well all 5 nights. I had to ask for extra pillow and all 4 pillow were different.

Hotel is placed excellently and staff were amazingly helpful. However the room was very cramped. And the mattress on the bed was very hard and not comfortable. A small detail that could easily be improved - the TV did not have modern facilities enabling you to use Apps (unless you had an iPhone and a HDMI cable handy) which is a shame as every other hotel we stayed in Japan had a modern TV with this access. Lots of marks on the walls and previous stains which could be covered up too. Surprisingly dated in style and quality sadly.
