We stayed at this property as our son loves Godzilla. It is located in the red light district and is tame and safe for families. That said I didn’t feel comfortable walking around by myself at night. The hotel is well equipped, great views form the windows, as it is in a busy area with one of the busiest train stations it is a little loud.

Conveniently located in the middle of Kabukicho; however the surrounding area can get very loud, crowded and dirty at night. Hotel staff are very nice. Rooms sure a bit more dated when compared to the modern lobby. Overall, very enjoyable stay.

Excellent location in the heart of Shinjuku. Many restaurants and shops are within walking range. Train station is within a 10 minute walk too. The godzilla head is a really nice feature too. It actually glows up and makes a roaring sound during the evenings.

The lounge doesnt have any food, which is kind of annoying. And....its a loud area but super convenient to shinjuko station and more night life than anyone could possibly need.

We stayed there for three weeks on the 29th floor with excellent views of Tokyo. The location is fantastic. BUT the rooms are very comfortable with not enough wardrobe and draw space so longer stayers will live out of their suitcase. The hotel says it doesn’t service the rooms and there is a card in the room confirming this. We stuck the service room sign on the door every day and it was serviced. There is no where to dry towels etc so servicing is essential - not sure what they are trying to achieve. Breakfast buffet is very good value, and all staff are very willing and helpful.

The famous Hotel Gracery Shinjuku, also known as the Godzilla hotel was such a good experience. It is in the heart of Shinjuku and the surrounding area looks like everything you have imagined. Very accommodating staff. The only downside is the room was small. We made it work though. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location. Overpriced for the hype of Godzilla. No facilities, fitness or onsen or baths. I would not get the breakfasts was really sub par for Japan. Eat else where. I would not rebook.

Absolutely excellent. The only thing that we were unhappy with was the unfortunate fact they had to close the Godzilla terrace because of someone doing something stupid out there. Staff is phenomenal

I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Centrally located and decent sized by Tokyo hotel standards. The rooms were also clean and well maintained. Considering its location, I was not surprised by the surrounding area crowds and noise. Disappointing areas were the pillows in the room which was less than desirable. Left me with a sore neck. Also would have loved to be able to get up close to the Godzilla head but the deck area was closed.

Clean, excellent Location and.... Godzilla!
Even thought this hotel is in the center of Kabukicho in Shinjuku, the room was very quiet at night and perfect for getting over jet lag. It is also known as the Godzilla hotel and the lobby area went with the Godzilla theme a bit but I did not think it was tacky or over done, believe it or not The room was tiny, yes, but very clean and it had everything a solo traveler needs and the bed was comfortable. The ofuro (bath and bathing area) was a nice touch in the room for a true Japanese Onsen experience. I should've purchased breakfast with my room, as I ended up eating in the buffet style restaurant next to the hotel, which was a good place to start the day. Hectic location outside of the hotel, but walkable to everything in Shinjuku including Omoide Yokocho and the Golden Gai,

Great location right in the heart of Shinjuku. Very busy party spot, but quiet in room if that’s what you are looking for. Many restaurants in walking distance as well as subway. The beds were a little firm for my taste. The pillows also on the firm side. Loved the bath tub. Would stay again.

Other than the size of the room - which is typical around Tokyo, the location of this place is perfect. Conveniently located to almost everything in Shinjuku. Just be sure to stay away from the random people on the streets who are trying to "sell" you stuff ;)
