Our stay was quiet and the room was clean. Check in was easy. Since the hotel doesn't offer breakfast it would have been nice to have a microwave or little larger of a fridge in the room to keep food.

I hurt my back the day before I had to leave. After driving 600 miles I was miserable and they were so kind to me at check in. They even upgraded my room so I didn't have to go upstairs. The pet stay is only $10 and it's such a convenient location for me. I will be staying here at least twice a year from now on. The rooms are comfortable but this is not a luxury location. Perfection ok with me!

I recently spent one night at The Smokehouse Lodge and Cabins, and while the stay was memorable for its rustic charm, there were a few aspects that could use some fine-tuning. The location was ideal – nestled in Monteagle, the surrounding scenery was beautiful, and the on-site amenities, like the BBQ restaurant and general store, added to the experience. Our cabin was cozy, with charming wood accents that gave it a homey feel. However, the furnishings felt a bit dated, and the cabin could have used a deeper cleaning and attention to needed repairs (wall paint chipping, etc.). The bed was comfortable, but some of the linens seemed worn and the pillows were not the best. On the positive side, the staff was welcoming and eager to help, which made check-in and check-out smooth. The Smokehouse Lodge has a lot of character, and it’s an excellent stop for anyone seeking a rustic getaway. With some minor updates and attention to detail, it would be an even more appealing destination.

I was worried about booking here, but the reviews were all so positive. I was disappointed. The room was not good. The dresser and stand had holes in them and the sink was dirty (i.e., hair in it when I checked in). The staff were very friendly and helpful.
