Overall, very satisfied with our stay at the Blue Moon Resort. We stayed for 9 nights in the suite with a private pool on a full board basis.
On the first day, we arrived at 8:00 am. It was indeed early, but we had to wait until 3:00 pm. We were exhausted from a long trip. A hotel should be able to accommodate guests by noon, which is the norm. For a supposedly luxurious room, it felt a bit outdated. The wardrobe was very small, with doors that didn't close properly. The hotel really needs to implement a ventilation system, there's an unpleasant smell in the room and the bathroom...
The positives of the hotel: it's extremely peaceful. Ideal for those seeking relaxation and a private beach with fewer people. The restaurant is à la carte. The dishes are delicious, fresh, high-quality, and presented very meticulously, something rarely seen in a full board hotel ! But hope you are patient, it takes 1.5 to 2 hours sometimes to have a meal because of the time taken for ordering and preparing the dishes. It's not a big deal in the evening, but it's inconvenient at noon when we want to make the most of their time. The music is perfect, classy and not disco ambiance ! (If that's what you're looking for, you should consider Nungwi's hotels).
The hotel's cleanliness is impeccable. The staff is very attentive and truly cares about your comfort. We want to thank the staff for their kindness and responsiveness, with a special thanks to Swahiba! We will probably come back.
