Lovely stay in LaPaz
This house suited our family of 4 perfectly. Our adult daughters shared the master bedroom, using both the big and twin beds. Worked out great. Everything functioned as it should (i.e., bathrooms, air conditioners, etc.). Convenient location for walking to shops, museum, the Malecon, but quiet and residential block. It was nice to have use of the private, secure parking as well.Victoria provided helpful responses to our questions, including a list of favorite beaches. Overall, a nice place to stay if you want to visit LaPaz.

Thoughtful
It took a while for me to find an appropriate theme for this review of Casa Beluga, but I have it now. “Thoughtful.” Victoria and Ricky, the owners, were thoughtful in many ways.They purchased a house in a wonderful location. In fifteen minutes, I could walk to the cathedral; five minutes more and I was on the malecon. Within three blocks was a pharmacy, convenience store, bakery, fruit and vegetable stand, grocery store, hardware store, and restaurants.There is art in every room, thoughtfully-placed and thematic. And there are enough pots, pans, dishes, utensils, silverware, and glasses for major meal preparation and serving.The house is kept clean and in good condition.Against the white walls and floor, there are pops of color in just the right amount and location.Victoria and Ricky thought of many small ways to make the stay comfortable, from the clarity of the check-in and check-out instructions to leaving shopping bags for our use, from putting a clothesline in the backyard to acquiring a functional and unique work desk, from leaving purified water in the refrigerator to recommending restaurants.The owners’ thoughtfulness began long before we arrived as they promptly responded to our questions about being in La Paz. They continued that buen amistad during our month-long stay at Casa Beluga.Yes, thoughtful. That’s the right word.

Perfect cozy getaway in the center
The home is very charming and walking distance to the center and famous Malecon. The A/C worked great in the bedrooms. The bedrooms were spacious with lots of closet space. There is also a large size pharmacy and Oxxo grocery store around the corner. The owners were really great. I had requested advance purchases of food and drinks. It was all there upon our arrival. The owners were very quick to respond with any questions. The home was decorated very nice and the kitchen was fantastic and fully equipped. The porch is so beautiful with a bougainvillea tree that was constantly full of birds and butterflies. It definitely is a YES!

Beautiful place
I came to La Paz on a girls trip. We loved this home. The owners are very easy to get a hold of and very generous (they left us water in the fridge to help us stay hydrated)! The home is clean and easy to navigate. The house is a good 30 minute drive from the beaches we wanted to visit (texalote?), but thankfully the taxi drivers are super friendly and drove us to our destination. This home is close to “el centro” which is safe and has a few beautiful restaurants (Nemi was our favorite). You won’t regret staying at this great home!

Great Location
We stayed for three weeks and found Casa Beluga to be very comfortable and a great location. It is only blocks from the main attractions in LaPaz and there are many amenities nearby. We found the neighborhood to be safe and quiet other than the barking dogs which is pretty standard in LaPaz. Our hosts were outstanding, the communication was excellent and they went out of their way to help us get the most out of our stay!

The house itself is on a quiet street, several blocks from the beach but not far enough that you can’t walk. The property was very clean. The linens were all top notch. The beds were comfortable. Ocean Dream Come True
Fantastic location, decor, hosts and amenities! We were so comfortable staying at Baja Beluga for our spearfishing trip. The outdoor courtyard was perfect for rinsing and drying gear, the kitchen was well appointed and the beds were super comfortable. Casa Beluga was a perfect fit for our family of five. The homes great location made parking the car and walking the way to go. The secured parking was a nice added bonus. This is the best VRBO experience my husband and I have ever had. Victoria and Ricky went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, from the very start and even before we arrived we felt like we were being hosted by friends. They were never intrusive but always available. Every time I reached out for a recommendation, Victoria was immediately responsive and every single thing that she suggested was fabulous. As the Marine Biologists working at a La Paz marine mammal organization, they also lead amazing tours - Ricky took us to Magdalena Bay to see the Gray Whales and the whole day was beyond our expectations. The house was spotless and comfortable and had everything we needed. It was also walking distance to everything - amazing food, the Malecón, night life, coffee, etc… Victoria and Ricky made Baja feel like home and we can’t thank them enough for the magical experience we had.

The house, location and hosts were superb!
As our first trip out of the country with our 4 and 7 yr old girls we could not have asked for more. Victoria and Ricky were incredibly communicative, helping us feel right at home. The house was well appointed and the location was the perfect place from which to explore La Paz. It was on a quiet street yet walking distance to the Malecon.
