We stayed at the Amari which is conveniently located on the International side of the DMK airport. The first night we stayed went really well. The room was comfortable and clean. A week later we were back and the room we were given was dirty and stunk of stale cigarettes. Instead of giving us a different room that was actually non-smoking and clean, they sent housekeeping up with air freshener. Note to management, air freshener doesn’t rid the carpet, drapes and furnishings of toxins, just saying. The first night the hot water was great. The second time the hot water went in and out during showering. One second scalding hot, the next ten seconds a bracing cold. The convenience of being located at the airport makes staying at the Amari worth it overall. I definitely think a person needs to remember that sometimes a first world problem cannot be immediately fixed, but management should still make the effort.
