"Haben das Hotel wegen des kostenfreien Flughafen-Shuttle gebucht. Leider haben wir die Abfahrt um 5 Minuten verpasst. Eine Stunde warten, war uns zuviel. Daher haben wir dann doch ein Taxi genommen. Das Einchecken hat leider ziemlich lange gedauert und die Betten sind sehr hart, Hervoragend war das Frühstück, die Freundlichkeit des Personals und die Nähe zur U-Bahn."

"Stayed there for three nights stopover on my way back from southeastern Asia. Being the last weekend before Ramadan, I paid one third over the regular rate for the season. Reception staff insisted to cash in the municipality/tourist tax immediately at check-in. Asked them to let me go to the room first and pay later as I carried some local currency in my baggage. They insisted to be paid on the spot. Gave them the credit card details and got the key. Very unpleasant welcome. On the other hand staff was pretty accommodating. They paid attention to my requests concerning the room. Weird pungent room odour, though at first glance it smelled of cleaning products. The floor carpet was old and stained, and probably a source of unpleasant odour. Bathroom was cramped, however clean and the installations worked splendidly. On the whole I didn’t feel confortable due to the smelly room and old carpeted floor. Notwithstanding that I hadn’t any breakfast there, I walked around their breakfast buffet and food looked fresh and smelled enticing. The hotel is located in the middle of Deira, that is old town, close to the Al-Riqqa Metro Station. "
