Stayed for one night for the Las Vegas marathon. Clean, roomy, comfortable room. Unbeatable convenience, as race bus pickup location and finish line are very close. I really appreciated the late checkout (extended from noon to 1:00), which allowed me to take a shower before going to the airport. Room lighting is a bit dim. And I could hear street noise (as expected, downtown Las Vegas is not quiet!) A couple of things I would have liked to know in advance. Luggage storage has somewhat limited hours: I was worried I was going to check out before the race (2:30 AM!) and it was not clear if I had that option. Airport shuttle (only *to* and not *from* the airport) is very nice, but only runs 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Beware if you plan to use it for an evening flight.

Fire alarm went off around midnight. No answer when we called the front desk so we had to walk down from the 5th floor to check it out. It was a false alarm. When we tried to go back to room a couple hours later, the elevators didn’t work because they were locked to the fire alarm going off. The stairwell was also locked and it took them 15-20 minutes to find someone to unlock it. After complaining, they did comp that night’s stay. No usb charging ports in room. Very limited channel choices on tv. Linen had holes in it and looked a little tattered. Staff was friendly. Food was good. I will think twice before staying here again.

Great location in old downtown, now revitalized and safe. So close to Fremont Street experience, good vibe, lots of good eating and gambling places. Band was loud late into the evening on Halloween, but what a great time.

The price is great. Pulling up, I understood why the price. We saw a woman urinate on the sidewalk accross the street from the entrance. However, free self parking and free valet is in a parking structure with security so it was safe. Checking in was busy but easy. Our receptionist was very nice, cordial and patient. They give you wrist bands instead of key cards. Our room was decent. I was upset that there seemed to be a missing couch or "sitting area". The photos clearly show a couch and all we had was the coffee table. The room seemed lightly cleaned. My beauty blender had dust on it after setting it down on the vanity. There was scum on the shower floor. As we were there for a quick turn around, I decided to let it go. Overall, our stay was decent when I consider the price. Happy we only stayed 1 night but wished our room had been better. Would have loved to make this place our downtown go to.

Good value for its location.
I checked into a cabana suite for a 4 night stay. Neither of the AC units did not work properly in the room. The unit by the bed won't turn on and the one behind the couch won't turn off till you turn it off, and reset the circuit breaker, no matter what the thermostat is set at. The shower floor and glass doors needed cleaning. The TV kept turning off at random intervals on the first night. Hard to understand the assistant behind the desk at club cortez. She gave the instructions too fast and was not welcoming at all. The meal service at Seigels was much better at the breakfast I had on the 2nd day of my visit, than the dinner service on my first night. The food was excellent though. Overall, you can't beat its location or the effort they've made to preserve its original feel and appearance. I got great service from the valet staff with assisting me with Uber. There wasn't enough lighting in the suite or outlets. If I return to Vegas, I would be willing to stay here again, but I would stay in the tower and not the cabana suites. Its location makes it worth the price if you want to explore downtown and things around Fremont St.
