First, I never leave bad reviews. I have stayed in VRBO’s, Hotels, Hostels, etc. across the globe and never had a an experience like this. The pictures show a very nice, tons of natural lighting, clean, and comfortable apartment. However, as I drive into Springfield to check in, I notice a very dicey neighborhood. Filled with many degenerates and street people walking through the back alley and parking area. Going outside at night was sketchy at best, if I was a single woman, I would not feel safe. I witnessed many drug deals outside on the street. My vehicle was broken into and when I asked the property manager for assistance they said there was nothing they could do… this is unacceptable. Moving onto the apartment itself, the place is spacious and nice. BUT, there is dust on all air vents, dust on top of every doorway and is not cleaned well at all. The kitchen was disgusting with all appliances, kitchenware feeling sticky from not being washed properly. The couch was missing a cushion and had no pillows for lounging. The beds had no blankets, only sheets and a duvet cover with nothing inside it. I had to purchase my own blanket to sleep comfortably at night. The teapot left on the cooktop was FULL of mold. There were cockroaches peeking out every so often and I was able to smash one as it crawled towards my plate as I ate lunch one day… I notified the property manager of all issues and provided photos of everything and I was never offered any help.
