My biggest concern when we booked this property for 8 people was the availability of the 2 golf carts listed & pictured in the property description. When I booked the property in February, I tried messaging the property manager via the app regarding the availability of the 2 carts, since we had a party of 8. I never got a response to that or the multiple other questions I asked via the message board on the VRBO app. It wasn’t until I sent an email with under 2 weeks until check-in that I got a phone call. I was assured that there would be 2 carts to use to take us to dinners, shopping, the beach and the festival. When we arrived that evening, there was only 1 cart. I texted the manager immediately and she said she meant to text me that the other cart was being serviced and deemed unsafe to use. She said a replacement would be delivered the next morning. At 1pm the next day, I sent another text because we hadn’t had the replacement delivered or heard back from her regarding this issue. She called and told me they didn’t have any available to deliver, but she was working on it and that she’d let me know. I never heard back from her again.
There are so many things to enjoy in this town and having golf carts to use instead of a vehicle is way more convenient. I’m angry at the lack of communication from this rental company.
The home itself is beautiful. It was clean, updated and very comfortable for our party of 8. Having to drive a large SUV around and try to park, having sand all over the SUV from the beach and making 2 trips on the golf carts was a real inconvenience, and not what we planned for.
