10 / 10.Fantastic staff in n ALL areas. Great breakfast, full english cooked and continental. Breakfast staff worked very hard together to ensure you where sested very quickly. Bar on top floor was also good even in January, it was not open every night of our visit but a Tesco store 2/ 3 doors along road if you wsnted a drink in your room. Or a bar on the basrment level in the Hotel. Aldergate tube station 200 meters along the road. Starbuck coffee shop next door. We stayed in room 811 with a balcony over looking city.

I had the most amazing time during my solo trip at Hyatt Place London City East. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and comfortable. They were incredibly kind, attentive, and professional. The hotel itself was impeccably clean and well-organized, which made my stay so much more enjoyable. Breakfast each morning was a highlight—delicious and with plenty of options to start my day right. The location was convenient for exploring the city, and everything about my stay exceeded my expectations. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting London!

Sneaky extra charges at the self service check in

We’d fully paid for our stay here on hotels.com and, when we arrived, we were ushered to use the self service check in system. When I entered my details, it said I owed an additional £70 and when I asked, I was told it was a service charge. I went downstairs to check in at the desk and there was no mention of it. Very sneaky and I’m sure people are getting stung by it

We mentioned it was our wedding anniversary during booking, and on arrival, we found that the hotel staff had arranged some fabric flower petals into a heart-shape on our bed and left us a congratulations card in our room, what a lovely gesture! Our room was clean, so was the other areas of the hotel. The bed was large and comfortable. We were assigned a room on the top floor, so the view was nice too. The breakfast (we picked the full English continental breakfast option) was very good with lots of choices. The check-in/out processes were done at a self-service machine, which was quick and convenient; however, at check-out, we did find there was a small unexplained charge (a few pounds, forgot the exact amount) added to our bill while we had already fully paid for the room at booking, we later found out from the concierge that it was a service charge (more like a tip) which they could remove from our bill upon request. The hotel is nicely located close to tube stations and Brick Lane where they are many good places to eat. Overall a very pleasant stay, would recommend to others.

Check in via kiosk means you have to enter all your personal details and anyone in the lobby can read them. No privacy. Kiosk didn’t work and had to check in with reception anyway. Rooftop bar was pleasant had a few drinks and watched the snow. Breakfast staff sat us at a dirty table, had to ask for cups for coffee and the sausages tasted like flour. Other than that staff were all pleasant.
