The room that I was given had a broken kettle, which was replaced immediately I had reported it.
The room was average, and it was disappointing to have a creaky mattress, and to wake up facing a wall covered in stains, and crayon scribbles. For a cool autumn evening the room was overly hot, reaching 24.5 C with the window open and no way to control the temperature.
The staff are polite and friendly.
The restaurant has nice Indian food, but I did have trouble with one of my dishes which was served with lashings of the ingredients that I had carefully and clearly explained that I was unable to eat - so be super clear if you have allergies etc.
I did not have the breakfast, so cannot comment.
Parking at the back of the hotel is very convenient.
There is a restaurant next door which serves standard pub-grub and a large Sainsbury's (not obvious as it is a side entrance) directly opposite the front of the hotel.
The hotel is a short walk from the train station.
