The room was okay, dirty window, broken/ not working air conditioning. Bathroom was incredibly disappointing, literally impossible to take a shower due to water just barely dripping from the shower head which didn’t stay in place. Also the hairdryer was overheating and switching off whilst using. Overall, not what you would expect from the 4* venue.

Stay spoilt on 3 counts. Toilet would whine like a fog horn for 10 mins after every flush wakening everyone else. Not good during night. Bathroom has moisturiser and shampoo locked captive in the shower whist body wash soap is on opposite wall by sink. Allocated room in annexe, not main hotel. So it doesnt feel the same, more like a serviced apartment facility.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and arranged for a replacement hairdryer when mine failed. The buffet breakfast was ok, but you have to wait for vegetarian items to be cooked as they are not readily available, but could have been a bit warmer. There is also continental breakfast and cereal available. The only thing that could have been improved is the room could be updated, especially the bathroom and have a charging point by bed.

I am disappointed with the pricing strategy - had I cancelled and booked the day before I could have saved over £100. For me that is the difference between a 1 night and 2 night stay. Overall there is always great service and consistently good rooms - have stayed hear at least twice a year for the past 12 years 😃

Clean and convenient location. I was told on booking that the hotel had complimentary EV charging. Upon arrival I discovered this was not the case, (£0.75pence per kilowatt)!
