It was a lovelyl property. Very safe, people were friendly. Not a rowdy crowd. We went during the holidays so there were long lines for the restuarant, and many times we couldn't get into the popular ones.

We stayed 9 nights at Hilton Mar Caribe with 2 boys 9 and 11 years old. This resort is definitely worth going back again. We came to Cancun every year and some resorts just not worth to go back. Staff very friendly, Luis front door, Alberto checkin, Jarlin Enclave concierge, Irving pool bar, Miguel first aid. Special thanks. Restaurants are great, especially Noriku and Italian one. Japanese restaurant surprised us a lot. Previously we stayed at other hotel and Japanese restaurant tastes a bit non- Japanese food. Noriku is great food tasty and good portion. Vela buffet is great with kids, and dinner BBQ they will bring to your table hot and fresh. Pool activities all day long from 9 -6. Then night events at sky bar till 11pm. Location is easy access to everything we took bus to town 12 peso gets you anywhere in hotel zone. Staff worked very hard to maintain everything. Kids enjoyed Sandbar Social with PS5, air hockey, pingpang and other games. There’s always staff there to help. Kids club has lots of events daily as well. Beach is beautiful and soft white sands. You can use cabana free if you book Enclave access. Enclave also gives you another bar access and premium liquor. Overall I think Hilton Mar Caribe is great resort for vacation with kids and worth to go back again.

It was a small resort with little to do. The entertainment was average and the food was not good. Drinks were watered down and they kept running out of food/drink items. Overall, the beach and lovely climate make up for these things but I would not stay here in the future.

Pros: The suites were the best one bedroom suites I have every stayed in with children to date (murphy beds are so much better than a pull out couch). The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Size of the bathroom was excellent for staying with 2 children. Food was good; buffet was very good; coffee at the breakfast buffet was excellent Cons: I would have preferred the sound from the roof top club (Chala) not played so loud as late into the evening as it did. Check-in was at 3pm but we did not get our room until around 4pm (and had arrived before noon). Reservations for dinner were a bit confusing bc they were suspended but then still required for somethings. Overall, the cons did not ruin the vacation experience and we would definitely stay again

Overall the property was pretty. The water was the cleanest I have ever seen in Cancun. I don’t know that I would recommend this property in the future. The house keeping was not very good. Some days even when we would call for cleaning it would not be done by 5pm and then they would knock to clean the room right as we were all trying to get ready for dinner. We had 2 adjoining rooms for my family of 6. We had to call numerous times just to get clean towels. As far as the food options… I have never been to a resort in Cancun where it was so difficult to eat a meal. Had to make reservations each day for that day wake up early (7:30am) to wait in line to make reservations for dinner that night that opened at 9am. If you weren’t first 20 in line you had to take whatever restaurant was still available or eat at 9:30pm. To top it off food wasn’t great. Room service runs around an hour to hour and a half. Overall the resort was very pretty but not the best experience we have ever had in Cancun for the price point. We also upgraded to the “Enclave Suits” which is their version of VIP. We didn’t feel very VIP

Do not visit this property if you have any type of food restrictions. On several occasions there were ZERO fresh vegetarian protein options. Food at the buffet was terrible quality and oftentimes my family and I just ate bread. To get into any of the restaurants you must bend over backwards. Each one has its own policy which changes per day. Moreover, the food and service at the restaurants was not worth the struggle that it took us to get in. Restaurants regularly had several items unavailable from the menu, and our meals never came with the full items listed on the menu. Regarding pool, there is no poolside food service, and the only pool food available was burgers, hot dogs, and cheap pizza made from tortilla wraps. Spend more money and stay somewhere that will actually service you and give you a relaxing stay. I am appalled by how unaccomodating this resort was.

PROS- Newer Rooms, BEAUTIFUL beach with aqua water, all inclusive with Japanese steakhouse and private cafe for enclave rooms. CONS- No hot tub and minimal night time entertainment. Some food/drink items are a little wonky but it is Mexico so we didn’t expect it to be just like USA. My picky kids found some thinks they liked.

The property and staff are amazing - everyone was friendly and genuinely glad to assist any need. Expedia, however misrepresented the room. We put in the correct information - two adults and 1 - 15 year old. A king room was the only choice offered, so we naturally thought there must be a sofa sleeper- this was not the case and the hotel was sold out, so the three of us slept in 1 king bed - not exactly comfortable or what we expected - very dissapointed in Expedia.

We were there six nights during the Christmas week. Overall, the hotel is understaffed, poorly managed and not the "all inclusive" experience you come to expect from Hilton. Property condition - this is an older building converted to Hilton property a few years ago. The lobby area is nice but you can definitely tell the age of the buildings elsewhere. The elevators are small and cramped. Restaurants - specialty restaurants (only for dinner) include (i) Asian, (ii) Italian, (iii) Mexican, and (iv) Steakhouse - all didn't take reservations during the peak season so it was a complete zoo. Average wait times were 1-2 hours plus incredibly slow service once inside. It was a four hour ordeal every dinner and some nights we just skipped to grab mediocre buffet, which also had wait times and terrible service. Restaurants were typically half empty but there was always a long line - completely mismanaged. Waiters are incredibly slow and not attentive - many times, we would finish our meals at the buffet before drinks were served. The hotel only has one small cafe for coffee / ice cream / crepe with poor selection and quality and long wait times. Very limited options for lunch - either the buffet or small bar foods near the pools. Housekeeping - rooms aren't cleaned properly. Pool area / amenity - plenty of pool space. Limited life jackets for kids. Small game room was fun but always crowded. Exercise room is too small for resort of this size.
