The Live Aqua is just fabulous. Everything about this resort is impeccable. The rooms are spacious, The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious and well presented. You will never be without food or drink in hand if you stay at this resort. The pool area is so well kept and just gorgeous. The beach area is super clean and stunning. I cannot say enough about our stay there. We had the best time and cannot wait to go back.

The hotel was beautiful and felt so zen like there. Hotel staff was amazing and everyone so friendly! You feel immersed immediately in relaxation with infinity pool overlooking the beach and the ocean. We felt safe the entire time. The shopping mall La Isla across the street. We can't wait to go back some other time!!

Live Aqua checks every single box!!! Small enough that everything is convenient yet offers everything you need! Meandering paths with wonderful alfresco food options all times of the day, amazing food with NO RESERVATIONS REQUIRED at all the restaurants. They do not have a buffet! No herding people through the line line cattle! It’s awesome! Top shelf alcohol and even coors light for the light beer drinkers! Turn down service every night, 24 hr room service with excellent options! And if you are a smoker there are very convenient locations for smoking, if you are a non smoker, the smoking sections are not in areas to offend. The onsite Starbucks was a nice bonus! This place just moved up to the top of our list! BONUS: NOONE TRIED TO SELL US A TIMESHARE!!! Complete relaxation and no pushy sales person!

Good but aging hotel in need of an upgrade, would not describe as 5 star, more like a 4 star. Introduction to the hotel by a member of staff was very limited, just gave us a price of paper with a QR code and left us to figure it all out for ourselves, told we had a butler but not told how to get in contact or use so never saw or used them. Most staff are very good, but some can be grumpy. We had issues with our air-conditioning in our room which started leaking heavily at 2am, seemed like a well known issue with a drop tray oberflowing, was fixed quickly but still created a bad night's sleep. Breakfast was OK, with some food clearly being warmed up from the previous day which I did not expect. Food was mixed based on which restaurant you went to. MB was excellent, others were OK but not great. Overall enjoyed being there, just not a 5 star experience, more 4 star.
